Drunk Honeybees of Australia!

Yeah, you're reading it right!
The honeybees of Australia can get drunk in hot summer and restrain themselves from going back to their hive.

During the summer of 2019, a folk of honeybees were seen flying over the parliament house of Australia in Canberra. The eyewitnesses stated that they saw a folk of shitfaced bees were falling from the sky on the lawn of the parliament house, and they were staggering and stumbling frequently as if they were high on some kind of liquor. Surprisingly, this odd phenomenon has been witnessed several times around the parliament house.
So why these insects become boozy?
The Head Beekeeper of Australian Parliament house Cormac Ferrel have explained this odd incident. He said- the honey bees become boozy by consuming farmented nectar of flowers that happens during the summer time due to heavy sunlight and increased temperature. High Temperature turns the nectar into a farmented alcoholic fluid.
Ferrel twitted ,“The answer is alcohol! As the weather heats up, the nectar in some Australian flowers will ferment, making the foragers drunk.” He also explain that this farmented nectar will make the bees "a bit wobbly" and if they attempt to go back to their hive, the guard bees will stop them from entering until they are fully sobered.
The guards do so because if the drunk bees enter the hive, they may spread the liquor into the hive making the whole colony high on alcohol.
He also mentioned that this odd phenomenon is only seen in the Honeybees , not in the native Australian bees.
Interesting, nah?!
